      Mount Laurel United Soccer Academy introduces a new approach in training youth soccer for spring 2003. It is a more natural,” learn as you play the game” program. It is geared towards the way kids play, for fun and enjoyment. It also involves you the parent in the process. You and your child will be introduced to the fundamentals of soccer, giving you the ability to properly support your developing young player. The new approach is being incorporated under a new program, The Youth Development Program.

The program will begin this spring with four and five year old youth players, and expand to more age groups next season. We feel this program offers development of the total player in each session, touching on the many components that go into developing skillful soccer players.

Basic Outline of the Program;

·        10 training sessions, once a week with a MLUSA Trainer

·        Small Sided Games on a Saturday

·        Parent volunteers interact with their players during the session

·        Potential coaches identified and work with players and trainer

·        MLUSA Youth Trainers who are fully trained give more one on one support to individual players.

·        Complete and total player, coach and parent education and development.

·        More soccer + Fun + Education = improved and all round development for everyone.

·        Learn how to look after and help the players of tomorrow which is why we are all in the program to develop talent to reach their own individual potential, learn life skills and have fun doing it…

We look forward to meeting and greeting you all in the near future.

Sincerely,

Lee Mitchell

Director of Coaching
