players. 6.
Games will consist of four 10 minute quarters with a two minute
break between quarters, and a five minute halftime break. 7.
All players must have
equal playing time and an opportunity to play all positions. 8.
Soccer ball size #4 is used. 9.
Home team provides the game ball and calls the coin toss. Send
two captains out to referee as he/she signals.
Home team is the team listed first on the schedule. 10.
There will only indirect kicks.
i.e. the ball must touch another player from either team before
it can be kicked into the net for a goal. 11.
There will be no corner kicks.
If the ball goes out the end line, it is a throw in from the
corner of the side it went out past the goal. 12.
With the exception of the above modifications, we will abide by
the US Youth Soccer Association Rules for U-7 and FIFA laws of soccer.
Age group coordinator will call rainouts. Make-ups can be played
on Sundays. The
home team for 8:30 game on field 1 is responsible for picking up corner
flags at Peggy’s (14
Windflower Court, Laurel Ponds)
The home team of the 11:00
game is responsible for returning all
8 corner flags to Peggy’s.
Just leave in driveway. DO
NOT RUN UP THE SCORE. If you are winning by three goals, go into
control mode. For example, take a player off the field, encourage
players to pass and not shoot. Please do this with tact without
insulting the opposing players. .
The
referee is always correct. Yelling or disputes with the referee will not
be tolerated! Good sportsmanship has to come from coaches and parents
first - set a good example.
Remember
this is an instructional program and the children come first!
